Now that the school holidays are over, we’ll see another upswing in auction numbers as the market rolls on after a steadier fortnight over the Easter break.
That’s not to say the property market has been idle during the holidays—last weekend’s 540 auctions saw the consistent trend in clearance rates continue with 419 or 78 per cent of those properties finding a buyer.
The REIV has reported that Melbourne’s inner and middle suburbs are performing strongly with many properties selling ahead of their scheduled auction dates. Notably, it’s Williamstown that tops the list however with more than a third of properties selling before auction day.
Buyers remain very active across Melbourne and for sellers who are ready to make their move, there’s still time to get a late autumn sales campaign off the ground.
Our agents are delivering great results for sellers across our network that spans greater Melbourne from Williamstown and Werribee in the west through to Cheltenham and Oakleigh in the southeast. Call us today to hear how our local specialists can secure the best price for your property too.
