Competition at auction heats up

Competition at auction heats up

19 May 2015 By: Greg Hocking 0 Comment

Auctions across Melbourne registered some big results last weekend with fierce competition amongst buyers sending prices skywards. The clearance rate stayed strong, coming in at 76 per cent from 803 reported auctions according to the REIV.

So far this year more than 12,000 properties have gone under the hammer and demand from buyers hasn’t wavered.

Sellers who are contemplating selling their property at some point this year could do well to think about a winter sales campaign. With fewer new listings coming onto the market in recent weeks, sellers stand to benefit from heightened competition as buyers compete for a smaller number of properties.

By getting ahead of the spring crush for new listings, your property will have a real chance to shine.

We’ve helped thousands of sellers achieve exceptional sale prices across all the seasons and there’s every indication that this winter will deliver some piping hot sales results.
